Frans’s home is exactly as described! It was very tranquil and had beautiful views. You do indeed need to rent a car and although I was nervous about driving in the DR it turned out to be fine. Frans helped arrange for us to rent a car and driving is a bit crazy but doable! You just need to be alert but it’s nothing to be scared away from. The place is about an hour from the 27 waterfalls which I also recommend and it’s not a bad drive at all! It’s about 30 min from the center of Puerto Plata, also not a bad drive. Frans and Christina were absolutely the best hosts! We enjoyed their company very much as well as our own space. A bonus is that the tap water at their home is drinkable! It’s sanitized through UV light. Overall, our stay was perfect!

This is your getaway if you are looking for green gardens, views, fresh air and tranquility and yet just 10-15 minutes away from the city of Puerto Plata. I had great stay at Frans and Cristina’s DreamView Estate. A warm welcome and enjoyed long informative conversations about the way of living here. Cristina is great chef and delighted me with a few local dishes over our long dinners. Their gardens brought us fresh produce every day. The property is very well managed and the guest rooms are very accommodating. The two day as their guest convinced me to come back for a longer visit. Thanks Frans and Cristina 🙂

La casa es hermosa, cĂłmoda y espaciosa. Tal cual las fotos. Frans y Cristina fueron muy serviciales y atentos, asĂ como sus empleados. Definitivamente me quedarĂa de nuevo, pero cuando la piscina estĂ© lista. El camino no es apto para carros bajitos, pero no es motivo para dejar de ir.

I strongly recommend Frans’s place for your residential choice. It offers the best that Puerto Plata has to offer. It provides a countryside setting that offers a closeness to nature. It is close to the city and Frans provides exploration through helpful recommendations for safe local businesses. You also have ocean view and a short drive to the beach. Frans recommended a local beach front recommendation that is excellent. Frans and his staff makes you feel like one of the family. You will not be sorry you chose at this location.

Thanks to Frans and Christina for the awesome stay. The apartment is well furnished, spacious and tidy. From the very large balcony and terrace you have an incredible view over the city and the ocean. The whole premises are green with all kinds of tropical plants like palm trees, cacao, coffe and pineapple plants. At night fireflys light up the place. If you want to get away from the trouble and noise of the city this is the place for you to stay!
